A Klomp is simply the Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest equivalent of Kritter. They march about an area, hurting any Kong on impact. They are given a single wooden leg, based on the pirate stereotype.

Klomps are the main Kremling grunts employed by Kaptain K. Rool and his Kremling Krew during the events of Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest and Donkey Kong Land 2.

Klomps are the pirate counterparts of Kritters from Donkey Kong Country and Donkey Kong Land. Unlike Kritters, Klomps are less hunched and only have a green coloration. In their artwork, Klomps appear to be heavily scarred, though they do not have this trait in-game. Klomps themselves would later replaced by Kobbles in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! and Donkey Kong Land III.

History
Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest
In Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest, Klomps are encountered in many levels. A Klomp's only behavior involves it marching forward in a single direction and hurting Diddy Kong or Dixie Kong upon contact. Klomps tend to patrol a small area individually, though many of them appear in groups. Klomps are very weak, as they can be defeated by any attack, including simple jumping, cartwheel and spin attacks. Some Klomps appear underwater, such as in Glimmer's Galleon, and can only be defeated by Enguarde. In the Cast of Characters, Klomps are classified as part of the "Kremling Kuthroats."

Klomps appear in the following levels:

*Pirate Panic
*Mainbrace Mayhem
*Gangplank Galley
*Lockjaw's Locker
*Topsail Trouble
*Kannon's Klaim
*Red-Hot Ride (Bonus Level only)
*Squawk's Shaft
*Barrel Bayou
*Glimmer's Galleon
*Slime Climb
*Ghostly Grove

Donkey Kong Land 2
In Donkey Kong Land 2, Klomps behave identically as in Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest. Just as before, Klomps appear in many levels:

*Pirate Panic
*Mainbrace Mayhem
*Gangplank Galley
*Lockjaw's Locker
*Topsail Trouble
*Kannon's Klaim
*Lava Lagoon
*Squawk's Shaft
*Barrel Bayou
*Krockhead Klamber
*Slime Climb
*Mudhole Marsh
*Ghostly Grove
*Web Woods
