The '''Gloomy Manor''' is the first mansion [[Luigi]] visits in ''[[Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon]]''. This mansion is similar to [[Luigi's Mansion (location)|Luigi's Mansion]] from [[Luigi's Mansion|the first game]] and is a standard, run-of-the-mill haunted mansion in the middle of a storm. It is here that Luigi acquires the [[Poltergust 5000]], the [[Strobulb]], the [[Dark-Light Device]], and the second [[Dark Moon]] piece. The sub-bosses are three [[Poltergeist]]s, and the main [[List of bosses|boss]] is a giant purple [[Spider (Luigi's Mansion series)|spider]] that has been possessed by the [[Grouchy Possessor]], which is located in the [[Cellar (Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon)|Cellar]]. The manor has three floors and a basement and features five standard missions, a boss mission, and a bonus mission that is unlocked after the player collects all the [[Boo]]s in the manor.

==History==
Not much is known about the Gloomy Manor besides that it is abandoned. [[Professor Elvin Gadd|Professor E. Gadd]] was using this mansion to observe the [[ghost (Luigi's Mansion series)|ghost]]s before the Dark Moon shattered. During the time E. Gadd spent studying the ghosts, he made modifications to the mansion, running pipes and wires throughout it. A statue of E. Gadd can be found in the Patio, suggesting that he owned the mansion at some point.

In the Master Suite's Library, there is a puzzle where the player must spin a pinwheel to spin around an area of the room to create the correct path. Among the choices is a side with a model of the Gloomy Manor and the Dark Moon above it.
