To start this event, the player must select one of five pieces of music to perform their routine to. Each piece of music has a different routine composed of the same six elements, with the player's score being based on how well each of the elements is performed. To perform a step sequence, the player must swing the Wii Remote like a conductor's baton in time with music and the guide shown onscreen. The better the timing the player swings with, the more points they will earn, with additional points awarded for combos of Great and Perfect swings. To perform a spiral, the player must tilt the Wii Remote to keep their character on the guideline and maintain their balance, earning a better score for sticking closely to the line with good balance. To perform spins, the player must quickly spin the Wii Remote, earning more points for spinning quickly. Depending on the character's stance, the player must swing the Wii Remote differently, holding it forward for crouching spins and upwards for standing ones. To perform waves, the player must hold the Wii Remote out to the side and move it up and down to follow the line of blue musical notes. The more of the notes that the player collects, the more points they will earn. To perform jumps, the player must swing the Wii Remote upwards when they reach the jump markers, and spin it while the character is in the air. Extra points are awarded for well timed takeoffs and multiple rotations while in the air. To end the routine, the player must strike the onscreen pose using the Wii Remote, earning more points for a well timed pose. After the player has finished their routine, they are given a ranking from C to A+ and a score for Steps, Jumps, Spins, Spirals and Waves, as well as an overall score and their ranking in the event. The character with the highest total score wins.
