In the minigame, teams of two players each race to be the first to reduce a Bowser Statue to rubble by punching, kicking, and hip-dropping it. Punches deal one damage to the statue, kicks deal two damage, and Hip Drops deal three damage. It is also possible for players to hit each other. The team to destroy the statue first wins. If neither team tears down the statue in 60 seconds, the team that inflicted more damage on the statue wins, but if the statues have equal health, the minigame ends in a draw. If both teams destroy the statue at the same time, the winner is randomly determined.
In the minigame, teams of two players each race to be the first to reduce a Bowser statue to rubble by punching, kicking, and performing Hip Drops upon it. The Control Stick is used to move.  n64 is pressed to jump, and n64 to punch. The player can Jump Kick by pressing n64 in the air. Pressing n64 while the character is in the air will result in a Hip Drop. It is also possible for one player to accidentally hit their teammate.

The minigame has three variations: Type 1, Type 2, and Type 3. The difference between the variations is the size of the statue: Type 1 has the smallest (a statue of Bowser crouching), Type 2 has medium (a statue of Bowser standing normally), and Type 3 has the largest (a statue of Bowser standing upright with his arms up). The statues for Types 1, 2, and 3 have 30, 60, and 90 total health, respectively.
