When a player lands on a Dash Space, they get to roll an extra time with the Normal Dice Block. This repeats for every Dash Space the Captain lands on until they don’t land on one. Special Dice Blocks cannot be used to modify these rolls.
When a player lands on a Dash Space, he or she will get to roll an extra time with the Dice Block. If a Captain lands on another Dash Space after he or she lands on a Dash Space, then the Captain still get to roll the Dice Block an extra time. Normal Dice Blocks can only be used by the Captain landing on the Dash Space.

Dash Spaces also appear during several Captain Events. This includes Scaredy Rat Race, in which the Scaredy Rat rolls 1-3 Dice Blocks instead of the standard 1-6 Dice Blocks after landing on these spaces.

Dash Spaces reappear in Mario Party 10 with the same function as in Mario Party 9, though they only appear in the Mario Party mode.
Dash Spaces reappear in Mario Party: Island Tour. Their design has changed to a blue space with a plus sign next to it with a random number. They have the same function as in Mario Party 9 with a new rule. Instead of rolling another dice block, the player moves the number of spaces placed on the space.
