Before each round, the players will get a view of the rails and the alternations between paths. The players must then select their mine carts by pushing one of the buttons displayed. Along the tracks, there will be routes that switch the paths the mine carts are taking. There are five paths; four lead to cannons (occasionally, one leads to a gold cannon) and one leads to the Chain Chomp. Players who reach a cannon blast Chain Chomp. Iron cannons are worth one point, while the gold cannon is worth three points and deals the Chain Chomp more damage. Taking the path leading to Chain Chomp deducts one point from the player's score. Each player that reaches a cannon fires at Chain Chomp in order from left to right. | ||
