The game takes place on a long strip of road. The goal is to reach the end of the road in the fastest amount of time possible while riding on top of hoverboards. On the road, Flip Panels appear to serve as obstacles. Some of the panels can be dodged by simply going under them, while others need to be jumped. On the side of the screen is a boost meter that shows the player's speed; if the player hits an obstacle, they'll lose a certain amount of the meter (dependent on how they were hit), and if they avoid obstacles, the meter will quickly increase.

This minigame is also available in [[Time Attack (Mario Party: Island Tour)|Time Attack]] as the eighth minigame. To achieve the bonus objective, the player must dodge every flip panel.
