In this event, the player must select two characters from the Girls category and competes against a team formed of the other two characters in the category, as well as a pair of [[Koopa Troopa]]s and [[Chao]], who are not seen but are competed against in the event. The serve initially starts on the player's side, which changes to the side of the team who lost the point after each point is scored. The player must press {{button|3ds|A}} once to serve the ball to the other side. In this event, the characters move automatically, although the player has a choice of different shots and moves they can perform. Once the ball is sent back to their side, they must always receive the ball by pressing {{button|3ds|A}} with the right timing, although they may also block two-touch attacks by pressing {{button|3ds|B}} as the ball approaches the net.
