A '''Badge Bandit''' is a purple-colored [[Bandit]] that can only be found in the [[Pit of 100 Trials (Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door)|Pit of 100 Trials]] during the events of ''[[Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door]]''. Unlike other Bandits, these thieves can steal [[Badge]]s, as well as items and coins. Stolen badges can be recovered by using [[Ms. Mowz]]'s  [[Kiss Thief]] move, or by beating the Badge Bandit - the badge will then reappear on the screen to be picked up. If a Badge Bandit manages to run away with a badge, the battle must be refought to reclaim the badge. [[Mario]] can use a [[Boo's Sheet]], a [[Volt Shroom]] or equip the [[Zap Tap]] Badge to stop Badge Bandits from stealing his badges. The plumber can also protect himself by consistently [[guard]]ing or [[superguard]]ing the attacks of these Bandits. If the player does not reclaim the badge after battle, the lost badge will appear in the [[Lovely Howz of Badges]] when it can purchased back. Badge Bandits are unique in the fact that they can actually heal the player, and don't do damage when stealing a badge.{{ref needed}}
