The Dimension itself is an empty void, where it's inhabitants can create structures from basically nothing. Though not many ghosts are actually seen in the dimension might be the cause of the fact it's an endless void which causes them to leave it. Oddly enough King Boo knows how to access the dimension which suggests on previous visits he terrorized the dimension, destroying structures in the process as furniture and broken mansions can be seen floating in the void.
