Template:Level Target Terror is the eighteenth level of Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest and Donkey Kong Land 2. It is the second area of Krazy Kremland.

This level is a roller coaster ride where the Kongs ride a Skull Cart, but seeing as how it's located in a Kremling amusement park, it's far from safe. Check and X Barrels, which will open and close gates respectively, make their only appearance in this level. As such, the heroes should hit every Check Barrel they come across and avoid all X Barrels, for if an X Barrel is hit, a gate will close and block the Kongs' path. Klanks make their first of two appearances here, in addition to the regular Zingers and Flitters.

Level Layout

Donkey Kong Country 2

At the start of the level, the heroes need to walk down the runway and jump into a barrel, shooting them to the Skull Cart. It will begin to move as soon as they land on it, and travel a short distance east, where there are little enemies. Soon, though, the monkeys will hit their first Check Barrel, and open a gate. Once they get through this gate, they will hop over a gap and get on another cart, leading them to a second gate, needing a Check Barrel to open. After this gate behind them, the Kongs will meet a Klank riding along with them. However, it will fall off track soon, and they can hit another Check Barrel, opening the next gate, which they must go through. This is followed by the fourth gate. This door is already open, and they need to avoid hitting the X Barrel before it. Was this obstacle is overcome, the heroes will get in another cart and get through another gate. A Check Barrel is needed to open this one, but it is hidden in the air. They should bounce off of a few Flitters to reach it. After this, the monkeys will get on yet another cart, and go through the next gate, where the Star Barrel is.

Halfway through the level, they heroes need to jump over abysses and get on other carts. They will soon pass another gate, where they must hop over an X Barrel to keep ajar. Again, this gate is followed by two more gates, which have Check Barrels to open them. The first barrel is near a Zinger, so it could be a little tricky to get. After this, the group must avoid the second Klank, throwing barrels at them, and then go through another gate, using the Check Barrel in the air. There is soon yet another gate after this, and the monkeys need to jump over an X Barrel to keep it open, although it can be hard because of the Zinger hanging above. There is a gate after this one, too, and a Check Barrel can open it. Once all those gates are in the distance, the Kongs need to bounce off of a few Flitters to get to the next cart. This cart will lead them to two more gates with Check Barrels. The second Check Barrel after this is in mid-air, where they will drop down a huge gap and have to jump back up on track. Finally, the heroes will jump over another X Barrel, and pass the final gate, where they will be taken to a tunnel. Here, the monkeys will appear off-track, and able to exit the level.

Donkey Kong Land 2

Beginning the level, the Kongs must jump onto the Skull Cart and start riding, where they need to hit a Check Barrel and go through the gate. After that, they will ride a little farther, until they get to a X Barrel. They should not hit it, otherwise, the gate will close and block their path. Once they get passed that gate, they will very shortly after hit another Check Barrel, and get through a third gate. The heroes should keep moving on after that and pass a X Barrel, without hitting it, to get through the fourth gate. Later, they will fall drop down to a lower part of the track, and quickly have to jump back up to the next Check Barrel. After they are through that gate, they need to hop over a few gaps, bounce off some Flitters, and then get through yet another gate. Soon, the heroes will get to the Star Barrel.

At this point, the monkeys need to continue along the track. They will eventually get through another gate, making sure they do not hit the X Barrel, and then drop down again to an even lower area of the track. Here, the Kongs will bounce off a lone Flitter back to the track, and also hit a Check Barrel on the way, opening the next gate. After this part, they must bounce off another Flitter above the track and reach a Check Barrel, which will open the next gate. At this point, the heroes must cross the X Barrel and get through an open gate, which is followed by the final gate, needing a Check Barrel to open. Finally, the group will pass a sign, which will make their train disappear, and also allow them to exit the level.

Secrets

Donkey Kong Country 2

Bonus Level(s)

Right after the first Klank, the monkeys should see a Bonus Barrel floating in plain sight. When they come near it, they must jump in the air, and get in. It will take them to a Bonus Level, where the heroes must get on Squawks the parrot. With him, they need to defeat all the Zinger flying around. The Kremkoin will appear when they are all beat. Strangely, this Bonus Level takes place in a bramble level, even though the main level is a roller coaster level.

Near the end of the level, the Kongs will meet the second Klank. This villain will eventually fall through a gap. The monkeys should still follow, where they will be on a hidden track, taking them to the Bonus Level. Here, they will jump over several gaps and get on many new Skull Carts. Soon, they'll get to the Kremkoin at the end of the stage.

DK Coin

Before the heroes make it to the second Klank, they will go through a tunnel. Here, they should jump up in the air. The monkeys might grab the DK Coin there, if they used correct timing.

Golden Feather (GBA Only)

Similar to the DK Coin, in the begining of the level, the monkeys will go through the first tunnel. When they are here, they should jump in the air. It they jumped at the right time, they will get the Golden Feather.

Donkey Kong Land 2

Bonus Level(s)

Before the Star Barrel, the Kongs should have to bounce across a few Flitters. However, instead of jumping on them, they need to drop down into the gap. After they ride along the track, they will get in a hidden Bonus Barrel, leading to the first Bonus Level. Here, the heroes will have to ride their train over a separate track, hopping over gaps and other obstacles. Soon, they should get to the Kremkoin.

At some point near the end of the level, the group will make their way up to a fork-in-the-road, which a bottom and top route. They should take the bottom way, and later land in a hidden Bonus Barrel. When it takes them to the second Bonus Level, the monkeys will again be on another track. They must ride along, dodging all the Zingers and obstacles on the way, until they get to the Kremkoin.

DK Coin

On the gate before the fork-in-the-road, there is a Flitter floating above the track. When they come by, the Kongs must jump up and bounce off this foe to reach the hidden DK Coin.
