Yoshi starts out in a long plain, with Spear Guys and Skeleton Goonies, and [[Flightless Skeleton Goonie]]s. [[Dancing Spear Guy]]s appear next with a [[Smiley Flower|Special Flower]] above them.
If Yoshi ground pounds an [[! Switch]] found in an invisible [[Winged Cloud]], he will be able to go into a secret entrance indicated by a red arrow. This leads to an optional misty underground room, containing a yellow [[Flatbed Ferry]] to let Yoshi collect several [[coin]]s scattered through the cavern. Several enemies can be found in this cavern, Including many Dancing Spear Guys and a lone [[Grunt (Yoshi's Island series)|Grunt]].

Next, Yoshi finds a long section of Winged Clouds, causing bridges to appear when hit. The bridges can be used to cross over large gaps, with Spear Guys in the way. After this, Yoshi must get past [[Zeus Guy]]s and a single [[Pyro Guy|Flamer Guy]]. Next is an area covered in [[Spike Trap|spike]]s that can be crossed with a bridge that appears when a Winged Cloud is hit.  
Yoshi starts out in a long plain, with Spear Guys and Skeleton Goonies, and a [[Flightless Skeleton Goonie]] trying to steal [[Baby Mario]] from Yoshi. The green dinosaur will find some [[Dancing Spear Guy]]s, and, right above them, a [[Flower]] that must be collected to score 100 points in the end of the stage. Yoshi must be careful, though, as he can easily hurt himself if he touches one of the Spear Guys' pointy spears.  


Yoshi then finds another lower part of the stage, with Dancing Spear Guys, but this time, Yoshi can use a small platform containing a Spear Guy to travel over this lower part of the stage. Yoshi can find an invisible [[Winged Cloud]] above this platform. When hit, it causes a [[! Switch]] to appear. Yoshi can press the switch to reveal a hidden entrance in the floor, indicated by a red arrow. This hidden entrance will lead Yoshi to a misty underground room, where he must use a yellow [[Flatbed Ferry]] to collect several coins scattered through the cavern. Several enemies can be found in this cavern, such as the common Spear Guys, and even a lone [[Grunt (Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island)|Grunt]] walking in the cave's plains, but, they can't harm Yoshi, as long as he doesn't fall off the flatbed ferry. The yellow platform will lead Yoshi to the previous area.
In the next section, Yoshi finds a [[Checkpoint Ring|Middle Ring]], and a sign with an [[Incoming Chomp]] on it. When crossing this area, Yoshi must dodge several Incoming Chomps, along with [[Toady|Solo Toadies]] and Zeus Guys in the way. A Special Flower can be found inside the middle of the floor,and is obtained by having the ground destroyed by an Incoming Chomp.


Next, Yoshi finds a long section of Winged Clouds, causing bridges to appear when hit. He can use these bridges to cross over large gaps, but, this can be dangerous, as Spear Guys in small platforms below the bridges can easily harm Yoshi with their tall spears. After this, Yoshi must head to an area with the floor covered in [[Spike (obstacle)|Spike]]s, while dealing with [[Zeus Guy]]s, and a single [[Pyro Guy]]. The hero can simply hit a Winged Cloud with an [[Egg]] to cause another bridge to appear over the spikes.  
The last section contains several pits with many Skeleton Goonies that drop bombs. A Special Flower can be collected if Yoshi hits it with an [[Yoshi's Egg|egg]] across a small pit of spikes. A Winged Cloud containing a [[key]] can be found, which can be used to open a locked door where Yoshi can play the Mini Battle "[[Popping Balloons]]". Next, Yoshi has to use a [[Spring Ball]] to reach a tall platform with a [[Piranha Plant]] and a Special Flower in an isolated area. The next area has Flatbed Ferries used to cross large pits, with [[Tap-Tap]]s in the way. Right ahead, Yoshi must Flutter Jump to the [[Goal Ring]].


In the next section, Yoshi has to cross a large area of raised pieces of land and tall platforms. When the hero enters this section, he finds a [[Middle Ring]], and a sign with a [[Chomp]] on it. When crossing this dangerous area, Yoshi will be attacked by several Chomps, whom jump from the background hills, and smash through the floor of this area, forming pitfalls. In this area, Yoshi will encounter a Flower in the middle of the floor, that can be destroyed by a Chomp, allowing Yoshi to collect the flower. Not only Chomps will attack the brave hero, but [[Solo Toady|Solo Toadies]] make an appearance here to prevent the hero from progressing. Another flower can be found near a pit.

At one point, Yoshi will find a Winged Cloud containing a [[Key]], which can be used to open a locked door at the top of a tall platform. Yoshi can play the minigame "[[Popping Balloons]]" in this door. After this, Yoshi has to use a [[Spring Ball]] to reach a tall platform with a [[Piranha Plant]], and a Flower in an isolated area. Yoshi needs to use Flatbed Ferries to cross large pits, while jumping over [[Tap Tap]]s in his way. Right ahead, Yoshi must Flutter Jump his way to the goal of the stage.

Scary Skeleton Goonies! is the first level in World 6 of Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3. It takes place in a forest at sunset, with many Skeleton Goonies and Spear Guys in the area, as well as several platforms and hills. This level's playable Yoshi is the green Yoshi.

Yoshi starts out in a long plain, with Spear Guys and Skeleton Goonies, and Flightless Skeleton Goonies. Dancing Spear Guys appear next with a Special Flower above them. If Yoshi ground pounds an !
