Tatanga in Pagosu, Super Mario Land
Tatanga operating Pagosu
Tatanga in Pagosu, from Super Mario Land.

Pagosu[1] is a war robot of Tatanga's. It appears during the battle against Mario in Super Mario Land. It can fire large missiles that split into smaller missiles which Mario must dodge. Twenty-five hits from Mario's Sky Pop will bring it and Tatanga down.

According to Encyclopedia Super Mario Bros., Pagosu does not return in Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins.[2] The game's official website also claims that its replacement is even stronger,[3] although its attack capabilities significantly differ in-game.
