The Oho Jees are sometimes very stupid in battle. They may run away and (if the running fails) come back saying "I no believe!" (a reference to their species' name) or hum a song, which slightly heals the brothers. Also, if they are healed too much, they will blow up and the battle will end. After defeat they will lay on the ground seemingly dead only to jump back up and say they were just kidding and that they're fine. Other times however, when they jump back up they will say they have been reborn or they will yell at you for taking their experience points.

However, Mario and Luigi do not get transformed when attacked.

Trivia

  • The name of the species, the Oho Jees, is inspired by the phrase "Oh jeez".Template:Refneeded When pronounced singularly the word greatly resembles the phrase "Oh gee", a phrase signifying slight surprisement. The "Oho" part is a reference to the place they live, Oho Oasis.
