The Homerun Bat

Not to be confused with the bat Ness uses, the Homerun Bat is an extremely powerful item in the Super Smash Bros. series. Fighters can grab the bat and use it to hit other fighters or throw it at them. The smash attack of the Homerun Bat is very powerful, but the process takes a while, leaving the player open for attack. It can also allow the opponent to run away. It will hit any player struck by it instantly off the screen, but there is an exception to large stages, like the Hyrule Temple.

The Homerun Bat is also used in the Homerun Contest mode of Super Smash Bros. Melee.

Trophy Information

Smash an enemy with this slugger, and you'll send them flying out of sight; hence the name Home-Run Bat. The sound of the bat being swung immediately strikes fear into the hearts of opponents and can turn the tide of a battle. It's slightly risky to use, though; it has a very limited range, and it takes a little time to wind up for your swing.
