Fire Shooters are a type of devices that appeared in Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Galaxy.

In Super Mario 64

There were two types in this game. The first types were faceless, black, apparently metal orbs that shot homing fireblasts at Mario. They were among the many traps layed by Bowser. Others included bombs disguised as butterflies and some larger variations. These fireshooters were replaced by smaller versions of the Fire Chomp in the DS remake. The second types were the ones often found in Bowser's levels. They were mounted in floating stones or walls (depending on where the player was). The fire that came out of this variant was shot faster and had longer range, making it difficult to evade.

In Super Mario Galaxy

Their nozzles shoot long ranged flames at Mario or Luigi.

Trivia

  • Fire shooters look a lot like F.L.U.D.D's head. The only difference is that the nozzles are red instead of yellow.
