Darkmess Portals are portals formed of Darkmess that appear in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. First appearing during the Giant Wildclaw battle, Darkmess Portals appear occasionally in battles, summoning enemies. The amount of enemies summoned and what kinds of enemies appear depend on the battle.
Darkmess Portals appear at the end of the enemies' turn, and summon enemies at the end of their next turn. They can be destroyed by the Heroes by attacking them, although they cannot be dashed. If the portal takes damage, the enemies summoned will have less HP as a result. Some Darkmess Portals cannot be destroyed; these portals appear in "Survive" and "Defeat Enemies" missions.
