Template:DKClevelbox Croctopus Chase is the twentieth level of the classic Super Nintendo game, Donkey Kong Country. It is also the fourth level of the Gorilla Glacier area.

Taking place in the depths of a freezing lake, Croctopus Chase is the third underwater level in the game. To complete the level, Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong must navigate an underwater maze. However, with blue Croctopi chasing them through the narrow passages, it is a race against time. The Kongs must swim as fast as they can, otherwise they will be attacked by the Croctopi. To make matters worse in this level, the Kongs will also have to avoid the other underwater enemies, Chomps, Chomps Jr., and the tiny, but mighty,Squidges.

Trivia

  • In the Game Boy Advance remake of Donkey Kong Country, this level switched positions with Ice Age Alley, making it the third level of the Gorilla Glacier.
  • Noticeably, Croctopus Chase is very similar to the level, Nautilus Chase, from the pseudo sequel to Donkey Kong Country, Donkey Kong Land. Both levels involve the Kongs swimming away from an underwater enemy, and they also have similar names.
