BLIZZARD!!! is the first level in World 5 found in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island.

At the start, the Green Yoshi is at the clear path as the background of the level starts to snow. During in the path, there is a Egg Block that will prepare the Yoshi with Yoshi Eggs. The Thunder Lakitus appears after the Yoshi is done gathering Yoshi Eggs as they attempt to throw a ball of energy to throw it to the ground. The ball will create a fire of wave on the ground spreading at each side.
The Yoshi stumbles with the two openings, at the top side; there is the first Flower above the ceiling and the the bottom side is just a straight way to the next area. The Yoshi cannot Flutter Jump above the ground because there is Rock blocks at the left side as the Yoshi can't get the Flower. The Yoshi will have to go to the bottom side by Ground Pounding the blocked pole. At the very right side of both sides, there is a Expansion Block that can help the Yoshi to get the Flower at the top side although the Yoshi can get the Flower without using the Purple Yoshi Block.
At the next area, there are Coins at the sky the Yoshi can gather by using the Purple Yoshi Blocks or by using Lakitu's Cloud from one of the defeated Thunder Lakitus. In the middle of the area, there is a Fly Guy in the sky that is carrying a Red Coin; interestedly, the Fly Guy will not fly away. At the end of the area, there is a Spike who throws Spikes twice the size from the stomach.
At the next area, there are wooden ledges that the Yoshi can access to the top of the cliff. On the wooden ledges, there are Woozy Guys. At the bottom of all of the wooden ledges, there is another Spike attempting to throw large spikes toward to the Yoshi. While the Yoshi is getting to the cliff by using the wooden ledges, the player will see a Crate on the screen. At the cliff, there are Shy Guys simply walking around on the cliff. To get the Crate, the Yoshi has to be careful to not fall down into the pit as the Yoshi has to use the poles attached to the wall. The Yoshi has to use careful timing when going to the left side onto a pole when the Yoshi falls down. The Yoshi can use the Flutter Jump to help to get to the poles. When the Yoshi approaches the Crate, when the Yoshi Ground Pounds it; the Yoshi obtains a Key. The Yoshi will escape the area as anyways.
Next, there is another Egg Block that the Yoshi can refill the Egg supply. There are also poles that are attached to the wall that the Yoshi can use to reach to the next area. There are Coins the Yoshi can collect as well. At near to the next area, there are two Wild Ptooie Piranhas guarding the next area spitting out Needlenoses to the Yoshi. The Yoshi would use the Yoshi Eggs to defeat the two Wild Ptooie Piranhas. The Yoshi can reach the slopes by using the wooden ledge and the clouds that hold the Yoshi.
At the slopes, there are more Coins to collect. There is a Winged Cloud that contains Stars to help the Yoshi. Additionally, there are Chomp Rocks that can possibly knock the Yoshi into the pit on the slopes. Some Chomp Rocks can knock the other Chomp Rock to knock the Yoshi. The Yoshi has to be careful about these obstacles. When the Yoshi approaches near to the next area, another Chomp Rock attempts rolls down to knock the Yoshi. When the Yoshi avoids the Chomp Rock, the Yoshi precedes the next area.
In the area, there is a Wall Lakitu who attempts to throw spikes at the Yoshi. There are two ways in the area, when the Yoshi goes to the right side; the Yoshi will encounter a snigle Shy Guy. Additionally, there can be another Chomp Rock to knock the Yoshi. The Yoshi will see a second flower at the sky away from the Yoshi. The Yoshi will use the Flutter Jump to get the Flower. The Yoshi has to simply be careful not to fall down all the way as the Yoshi attempts to get the second Flower. When the Yoshi proceeds to the top area, there are friendly Bumptys that simply slide down the hills or hanging around the hill. Again, there are two ways; going right is that there is a Door that leads into another area. And at the left side, there is a Cabin with a locked door on it. Additionally, if the Yoshi falls down; the Yoshi will land into an area where the Chomp Rocks roll down in the hills. If the Yoshi uses the Key the Yoshi currently has, the Yoshi can enter the cabin. In the cabin; the Yoshi will see a Bandit as he attempts the Yoshi the mini-game, Throwing Balloons. If the Yoshi wins the first time, the Bandit awards the Yoshi a 2-UP. At the left side, there are clouds that the Yoshi can use to get to a Warp Pipe.
In the area when the Yoshi enters the Warp Pipe from the other area, there are Yoshi Eggs on the cloud ground. When the Yoshi looks up, the player will realize that there are dozens and dozens of Coins in this area. The Yoshi can use the Yoshi Eggs to get the Coins as well. The Message Block tells the player that there are 5 Red Coins in the area, Additionally; the Message Block mentions that the ? Cloud contains the Yoshi Helicopter morph. When the Yoshi hits the ? Block with a single Yoshi Egg and obtains the Morph; the Yoshi has the ability to get Coins easier. Additionally; there are more coins in the upper side of the area as the Yoshi can get them with the Yoshi Helicopter. When the morph time is up, the Yoshi is back to normal as he goes back to the other through a different Warp Pipe. If the Yoshi want to have another go to find the Red Coins, the Yoshi will use the Warp Pipe near to the Cabin, Additionally; the coins at the top side have disappeared. When the Yoshi is ready to proceed, the Yoshi can go to the door at the right side.
In the cave, the Yoshi will never go back to the previous area as the door is a one-way. The cave contains Lantern Ghosts as the ice on the ground is slippery. There is an Ice Watermelon provided for the Yoshi. There is also another ? Cloud that contains Stars to help the Yoshi with the Star Power. When the Yoshi reach near into a Warp Pipe, there are Lantern Ghosts appearing to pop out from the Warp Pipe. There is another Ice Watermelon the Yoshi can use. At the top, there is another ? Cloud and more Bumptys hanging in the caves. When the Yoshi throws a Yoshi Egg to the ? Cloud, the ? Cloud magically makes the Red Staircases appear show on the screen. At the end of the Red Staircase, there is a Middle Ring the Yoshi will use. Next to it, there are Coins; possibly have hidden Red Coins. When the Yoshi proceeds, there is an Egg-Plant that can help the Yoshi to refill the Egg supply.
Deep in the caves, there are more Bumptys bumping the Yoshi to be distracted. The Ice Stalagmites can sometimes break and fall down to the ground when the Yoshi approaches it, attempting to hurt the Yoshi. The Yoshi can use the Yoshi Eggs to knock the Ice Stalagmites down to proceed. Deep in it, there are Fangs hanging in the ceiling; waiting for a enemy to pass by. Additionally, there are pits if the Yoshi fall down into it, the Yoshi loses a 1-Up. As the Yoshi goes deeper in the caves, there are more Ice Stalagmites, as long Ice Stalagmites fall down to struck the Yoshi. There are also Bumptys there in that area. In that area, there are two ? Clouds; the first ? Cloud contains the third Flower and the second ? Cloud contains more Stars. Additionally, there are a row of Coins that contain a hidden Red Coin. At the end of the area, there is a Warp Pipe the Yoshi proceeds into the outside.
In the outside area, the outside appears that it is completely snowed as it continues to snow. In the area, it appears that there are two ways after proceeding to go outside. To get to the left side, the Yoshi attempts to use the right low ledge the Yoshi is near to. When the Yoshi is on the ledge, Flutter Jump and reach the left side of the area. In the left area, there is a single Whirly Fly Guy; just standing on the ground. As the Yoshi walks near to the Whirly Fly Guy, the Whirl Fly Guy notices the Yoshi and starts to fly away from the Yoshi; possibly panicking the player. There is a Watermelon in one of the Trees, if the Yoshi uses the item on the Whirly Fly Guy; Coins start to fall down from the enemy. If the Yoshi shoots enough seeds to the enemy, the Yoshi is awarded with one or two 1-Ups as the enemy is defeated. When the Yoshi proceeds to the right side, there are as of more Bumptys just hanging out at the area. One or two Fly Guys flies by holding a Red Coin as the Yoshi has a chance to gather it. There is also a ? Cloud, it contains about 5 Coins. Additionally there are rows of Coins at the area. As the Yoshi walks by in the area, there is the fourth Flower the Yoshi can get.
At the middle of the outside area, there is a pole the Yoshi can Ground Pound to obtain a single Red Coin. Additionally, there are strange enemies that are playing with Neednoses. Another enemy is a Wild Ptooie Piranha at the top of the small ledges; and there are Thunder Latikus also attempting to hurt the Yoshi as the part of the area is enemy-infested. At the end of the infested area, there is another ? Cloud that provides the Yoshi more stars. As the Yoshi passes by, there is another Fly Guy with a Red Coin and a ? Cloud that contains a ring of coins. Additionally, one of the Coins gives the Yoshi a 1-Up. Another ? Cloud contains more Stars. There is the fitih Flower in the area as the Yoshi can get it. Above the last Flower, there just a cloud, above the cloud is an arrow. The Yoshi could use the Latiku’s Cloud to reach the clouds, when the Yoshi gets to that area; the Yoshi recently finds a Warp Pipe the Yoshi can enter.
Into that area, there is just two Red Flower Petals, two different colored Koopa Shells and two Coins that contain a hidden Red Coin. Additionally, the area sets in a large cloud; oddly not snowing. If the Yoshi uses one of the Koopa Shells to throw it into one of the Red Flower Petals; the Red Flower Petal throws out Coins scattered around the area. These Coins are good for getting possibly get a 1-Up, when the Yoshi is done; the Yoshi can go back into the ground side.
When the Yoshi goes to the last area, there is another Fly Guy with a Red Coin; but not flying away. At that area, there is an enemy that looks similar to a Flower. When the Yoshi is near to it, the enemy will drop to the ground and starts to roll to the Yoshi, hurting the Yoshi. There is a Piranha Plant guarding the Jump Ball, use the Yoshi Egg to defeat the enemy. After that, the Yoshi will curiously jump on it, hitting the dirt to bring the ! Switch down. If the Yoshi press it, the ! Blocks appear at the near end to the end of the level as the Yoshi has a time limit on finding the hidden Red Coins safely. Additionally, there are flying Bumptys that can distract the Yoshi. When the Yoshi gets to the end of the level, the Yoshi has a chance to get the Bonus Challenge.
