Iron Clefts are a powerful sub-species of Clefts found in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.
Iron Clefts are larger than normal Clefts and are dark gray in color and like their name implies are made of metal, which is impenetrable.
The only known Iron Clefts are the Armored Harriers.

That's an Iron Cleft. That guy is SCARY. Period! What's WITH this book? It says no attack will work against Iron Clefts! It says nothing in the world is as hard as an Iron Cleft, so its Defense is impenetrable. If that's true, the only way to beat one is to whack it with the other one... Running away may not be a bad idea at this point.

- A special attack by the Yoshi Kid provides the only known way to defeat the Armored Harriers for the first time. If Grubba (or Jolene) asked the player not to use any FP, or not to let the partner attack, that would make complete victory impossible for that particular match. It is unknown whether or not they can actually make these demands for this particular fight.
- Since every character in the major league would have to beat the Armored Harriers in order to stay ranked above them, it is plausible that they have other weaknesses.
