Really Toads?[edit]

Question.svg This talk page or section has a conflict or a question that needs to be answered. Please try to help and resolve the issue by leaving a comment.

Unlike the Toads in-game and most other depictions of Toads, the Starshade Bros. have noses and ears. And while their original sprites don't show this well, their artwork and remake sprites depict them with much longer legs than any of the Toads. Nintendo Power coverage and the Player's Guide do not clarify things. - RHG1951 (talk) 20:54, September 28, 2023 (EDT)

The residents of Little Fungitown in the original (and heck, even the Mushroom Kingdom Toads on the overworld) also show several design aberrations versus the "standard" appearance of Toads. I think it's just another example of the game's weird designs. Either way, they're enough like Toads that the burden of proof would lay with the claim that they aren't.
