Mini Donkey Kong as seen in the manual for Donkey Kong

Mini Donkey Kong[1] is a small Kong who makes an appearance in the Game & Watch version of Donkey Kong. Although he isn't directly involved in gameplay, he appears when the system's alarm goes off, jumping and ringing a bell. Mini Donkey Kong can be seen as a predecessor to Donkey Kong Junior, who would make his debut later that year in his own arcade game. Because the Game & Watch Gallery series doesn't recreate the alarm feature of the Game & Watch games, Mini Donkey Kong doesn't appear in Game & Watch Gallery 2 or Game & Watch Gallery 4. However, the feature was reintroduced in Game & Watch Collection, so Mini Donkey Kong appears in that game's remake of Donkey Kong.
