If they are visited without a particular reason, the player comments on how the Vending Machines sell coal, but as they do not need any at the moment, they leave. The Vending Machines come into play during [[Shy Guy]]'s quest, [[Locomotionless]], which involves getting some coal for Shy Guy. He mentions that some coal can be obtained from the Vending Machines, and [[Mrs. Shroomlock]] also mentions that they sell coal.
