Super Mario Bros. Deluxe, released on the Game Boy Color, was a remake of Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels. It was released fourteen years after the release of the original Super Mario Bros.. The game received critical acclaim for a number of things – bringing back the original Super Mario Bros. for a whole younger generation to experience, especially to a handheld that allows players to enjoy Super Mario Bros. wherever they go, the inclusion of Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels, as well as the great abundance of unlockables featured in the game.
