PETEY?[edit]

WTW is that about??? Max2 (talk) I don't think he was part of the army.

Maybe A Petey, not THE Petey, is. Notice that the size compared to Peach, Sheik & Kirby is exceptionally big for this Petey. Wa Yoshihead.png TC@Y 12:19, 21 August 2007 (EDT)
Well, Bowser's Size changes often, so why not Petey's? Mario riding YoshiXzelionETC
Yeah, to this date, only one Petey Piranha has been seen at one time, so we don't know whether it's a species. And Wayo, it's Zelda, not Sheik. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 12:43, 21 August 2007 (EDT)
XD I suck at identifying any character not in the Mario series. Sorry. Wa Yoshihead.png TC@Y 00:49, 22 August 2007 (EDT)

Technically there were two peteys in Mario hoops 3 on 3. Peachycakes 3.14

That's not Petey. It's a trophy...based on Petey... Paper Jorge! I give paper cuts so stand back!

What's with the caps?[edit]

Why are the names of the enemies in caps? That's meaningless. It should be caps and lower case. Mack the Knife 17:11, 20 September 2007 (EDT)

When they were introduced on the Webiste their names were in all caps. Mario riding YoshiXzelionETC
That doesn't mean that is the official spelling. I think it's for emphasis. Mack the Knife 17:17, 20 September 2007 (EDT)
But the theres "The R.O.B Squad" If it was for emphasis wouldn't that be in all caps too? Mario riding YoshiXzelionETC
The official names right now are all caps. Other headers like that, such as "The R.O.B. Squad" and special moves, do not have all caps. -- Son of Suns
Yes, they have been officially named in Caps. Maybe they named them in Caps as a joke on Codenames :P. Regardless, the enemies official names are all in Caps, even The R.O.B. Squad (R.O.B. is all in Caps, that is the name of the species, the "The" and "Squad" are basically calling them an army, so, that doesn't have to be Caps). My Bloody Valentine
Well, look at that, some genius went and lowercased the names anyway. NMRodo

New enemies[edit]

Huh, the new enemies (the last reverted edition in the article) can be found in the new E for All videos, here.--Caith Sith 08:32, 20 October 2007 (EDT)

What has happened to trust around here? Sprite of Rex from Super Mario WorldPeachycakes 3.14 Why must people always demand proof before they can accept it?

That was an incredibly stupid remark, Peachcakes. Sorry to say that, but, we cannot accept any false information. THAT is why we need proof. My Bloody Valentine
But this isn't false information, it's true information. And people keep deleting it just because they havn't seen it for themselves. Sprite of Rex from Super Mario WorldPeachycakes 3.14
That's not what I meant. Sure, THIS info was true, but what if someone places false information, and we simply leave a fake article as it is. You see, if you give us the source of the information, we'll accept it, as everyone can see the source, and know that the information is true. Understand?. My Bloody Valentine
Sorry it took so long too answer, but the answer is no. Sprite of Rex from Super Mario WorldPeachycakes 3.14
What if that info. turned out to be wrong? Would he just leave it? OH GOD NO. We need sources. Paper Jorge ( Talk·Contributions)·
But the info was not wrong, it was right. You can't go around deleting information just because you havn't seen it for yourself. Sprite of Rex from Super Mario WorldPeachycakes 3.14

Missing enemies?[edit]

I was watching a Brawl video (The one with Olimar and Capt. Falcon) and noticed some enemies that weren't here. Will someone put them up?

Merge[edit]

I noticed a lot of Subspace Army enemy articles being made on the Wiki. I believe they should all be merged with this article. Anyone agree? My Bloody Valentine

I agree! Merge them! Anti Dude
No this looks horrible... I say... UNMERGE! lol in all seriousness though.Δ ΔTheuseD.PNGΔ Δ

Most of these enemies are very significant like Greap but some like Glire,Glice, and Glunder however should be merged. I will be makeing a proposal on this. Luigibros2

Um... there was already a propasal on that, Luigibros2. TWG

yo I've been gone 9 mounths I don't know I checked the archives and there was none.

Trophy Descriptions[edit]

Anyone else think it would be a good idea to put the descriptions from the trophies of the enemies under the existing descriptions? Cuz I was gonna do that... ¡Felices Pascuas! PHOENIX (talkedits) 22:43, 9 November 2010 (UTC)

Electro-Mine Thingies[edit]

In some levels, there are these mines that shock you if you touch them. They have green lights which then flash red if you get close to one of them.--Holyromanemperortatan 17:25, 24 February 2011 (EST)

Separate articles[edit]

Should we make separate articles for Subspace Army soldiers, or no? Since we have articles for SSB stages, should'nt we have articles for enemies? I'm willing to make a proposal for this.

KP (talk · edits) A KP Koopa from Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.

My opinion is that merging would give use a lot of stubs non directly-related to the Mario universe.
Banon (talk · edits) 17:22, 5 April 2013 (EDT)
Yeah, I think the enemies need separate article. We're supposed to cover the Super Smash Bros. series. If we have an article of Fighting Polygons, Fighting Wire Frames, and Alloys, then we should cover subspace enemies. Then, we can put them in a navigation template of Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Also, we won't create stubs. Stubs are short articles with inadequate information. Icon showing how many lives Mario has left. From Super Mario 64 DS. It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 17:23, 5 April 2013 (EDT)
LGM is right. If we have articles for stages in SSB, why should'nt we have articles for Subspace army members? We SHOULD create those articles. We have articles for Nintendo Land minigames. I don't understand why we should just leave them be.

Create separate articles for Subspace Army enemies[edit]

Settledproposal.svg This talk page proposal has already been settled. Please do not edit any of the sections in the proposal. If you wish to discuss the article, do so in a new header below the proposal.

Create Separate Articles 12-0

We should create separate articles for Subspace army members because we can't just have them merged into a big clump with no organisation. Like LGM has said before me, we have articles for Fighting Polygons, Alloys, and Fighting Wire Frames, so why not have an article about Subspace army enemies? It does not make sense. For those of you who think that these articles are not Mario-related, then why do we have minigame articles from Nintendo Land enemies? We are not creating new stubs, since stubs are articles that can be expanded. We should create these articles.

  1. King Pikante (talk) Per proposal.
  2. Marshal Dan Troop (talk) Per proposal.
  3. ThePremiumYoshi (talk) - Per all.
  4. LeftyGreenMario (talk) Per proposal; our coverage policy dictates that we have to make a full coverage on the Super Smash Bros. series. That means all the Subspace enemies deserve separate articles and a separate section on the Super Smash Bros. Brawl navigation template (or the Subspace Emissary one if I'm wrong). If we have another crossover with non-Mario enemies appearing, we should create separate articles for the enemies, right? Speaking of which, maybe we should create separate articles for Super Smash Bros. Melee's Adventure Mode enemies as well.

I think you meant that stubs need to be expanded on, not that stubs "can't be expanded on". Icon showing how many lives Mario has left. From Super Mario 64 DS. It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 18:15, 5 April 2013 (EDT)

Yeah, I fixed that.
