Talk:Sparkle

There are two uses of the word Sparkle in different contexts.[edit]

The first is the Sparkle power, as covered in this page. However, in The Castle of Thorns, Stella says something interesting. If I remember correctly, when you enter the room to transform into Swordfighter Peach, Stella says something like "That must be the swordfighter's Sparkle! Peach, I think we can make use of it together!" I think Stella is referring to the platform that allows you to transform when she mentions Sparkle. In that case, I think we should have two pages: one for the Sparkle power, named Sparkle (power) or Sparkle (ability), and one for the platform, named Sparkle (platform) (or something along those lines). Does anyone agree with me? -- Artwork of Rosalina used in Mario Party: The Top 100, Mario Kart Tour and Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020. Maybe a proposal could be done for this? link:User:Sparks Sparks (talk) link:User:Sparks 13:01, April 6, 2024 (EDT)

Rename this page and make another, similar page as there are two different uses of the word Sparkle.[edit]

Note: As you can see from the comments below, I've run into a problem. Depending on what a Sparkla Spirit turns out to be, I will either reinstate this proposal or leave it as cancelled. Please stand by for further notice. -- Artwork of Rosalina used in Mario Party: The Top 100, Mario Kart Tour and Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020. Those who have played Princess Peach: Showtime! may remember something interesting in The Castle of Thorns. When you first enter the room where Peach transforms, Stella says something close to "That must the swordfigher's Sparkle! Peach, I think we can make use of it together!" It seems, though, that Stella is referring to the platform and not the Sparkle power itself. I think this means that we should rename the page currently named Sparkle to something like Sparkle (power); and also make a new page that is about the Sparkle that Stella mentioned, which would be called something like Sparkle (transformation ability). I do need help thinking of names for the pages, so please leave a comment if you have a good idea.

Maybe the names could be Sparkle (power) for the normal ability Princess Peach has and Sparkle (ability) for the transformations? They aren't the best names, so hopefully others can thing of better ones, but these are better than nothing. link:User:Sparks Sparks (talk) link:User:Sparks 17:08, April 8, 2024 (EDT)
Aren't we saying the other Sparkle is a platform? Why not Sparkle (platform)? Hewer (talk · contributions · edit count) 03:03, April 9, 2024 (EDT)
Sparkle (platform) would fit better. link:User:Sparks Sparks (talk) link:User:Sparks 07:57, April 9, 2024 (EDT)
Thanks for the ideas! I think Sparkle (power) would work for the normal ability as Sparks said. I also think Sparkle (ability) might work better than Sparkle (platform) because Peach's ability to use Sparkle is actually what allows her to transform. It's not really the platform that allows Peach to do that. That's something I realized after I made my argument for this proposal, so I didn't put it in there (sorry!). Anyway, I think Sparkle (ability) might work best for the new page. You're welcome! We're glad to help out! ;) link:User:Sparks Sparks (talk) link:User:Sparks 17:22, April 9, 2024 (EDT)
Hang on! I just realized that there's a currently-unmade page on the wiki that is titled Sparkla Spirit! Could that be what Stella was talking about? I haven't made it that far into the game, so I don't know the context. If that's the case, this proposal would not be necessary. Don't worry! You can cancel this proposal! In the first three days (six days for talk page proposals) of a proposal you can rewrite it and cancel it. After that, if you want the proposal to be canceled an administrator has to do it. link:User:Sparks Sparks (talk) link:User:Sparks 16:46, April 10, 2024 (EDT)
Thank you so much!! I actually just told Mario jc about it, but I'll go ahead and cancel it. One question...how do I cancel it? Do I just delete it, or is there a special way to cancel it? -- Artwork of Rosalina used in Mario Party: The Top 100, Mario Kart Tour and Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020. At the top of the proposal, replace {{TPP}} with {{ProposalOutcome|canceled}} to cancel the proposal. link:User:Sparks Sparks (talk) link:User:Sparks 17:14, April 10, 2024 (EDT)
OK, thank you. I do want to make sure that I don't cancel the proposal if it turns out that Sparkla Spirit is a different thing than what I think it is. I'll cancel it temporarily, and once I get to the point in the game where I can find out what a Sparkla Spirit is, I'll either reinstate the proposal or scrap it completely. Thank you so much! I'll try to complete the game as quickly as possible! -- Artwork of Rosalina used in Mario Party: The Top 100, Mario Kart Tour and Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.
