I've seen the claim that the stock laugh sound effect for Bowser and Boo ("Sound Ideas, HUMAN, LAUGH - COMICAL LAUGH: MALE") was actually voiced by Charles Martinet, and it's repeated here on Super Mario Wiki. Currently, this article cites Thomas Game Docs' video, which in turn cites the Sound Effects Wiki... which doesn't cite any particular source. Every other time this claim is made, its citations ultimately lead back to the Sound Effects Wiki, or no citation is provided at all. While I think it's absolutely plausible that the laugh was recorded by Martinet, I think we should be citing a primary source, not a secondary source like Thomas Game Docs or Sound Effects Wiki. Does anyone know the actual direct source of this information? Or was it just an editor on Sound Effects Wiki erroneously presenting speculation as fact, which keeps getting parroted by others? --PeabodySam (talk) 19:30, May 11, 2021 (EDT)

::::Would this be strong enough evidence to reinstate Charles Martinet as the voice actor for Bowser and Boo? --PeabodySam (talk) 18:57, January 4, 2023 (EST)

:::::I'd say confirmation from Martinet himself would be good enough. -- 14:33, January 13, 2023 (EST)

: In Super Mario 64 DS, Bowser's laugh sounds exactly like Luigi, who is voiced by Charles Martinet, so I'd say so. And besides, someone had to have recorded the sound effect in the first place. That laugh was also used for Six Face Sal, Baby Bowser, Dry Bones and Chortlebot.

The Big Bob-omb (King Bob-omb)
Charles Martinet also had done the king of Bob-ombs in Mario 64, just to let everyone know, just like for the chain chomps, whomps, thwomps, more, and Big Boo too. I get you're probably and possibly gonna say or ask me if there's proof of it, but if you go back and listen to his voice in every game he's ever played in, I feel and felt like Charles Martinet himself in Super Mario 64 and other games had somewhere his voice was playing as King or the Big Bob-omb, unless of course their just a sound effect that have from the thwomps and whomps and grindels.

:To me, the whole situation relies on very shaky information that, evident from the above section, Martinet himself has issues confirming. It's a lot of speculation and I feel it's better off as a trivia note that states he has claimed to voice these characters, similar to how he recalls to have voiced Wario in Mario Party games when it's Thomas Spindler. 16:09, September 3, 2023 (EDT)
::Feels especially difficult to confirm a VA for a nondescript "BWIM-BWIM-BWIM" noise than any of the others. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 16:14, September 3, 2023 (EDT)
