Split request has been sitting on this page for several months, so let's talk about it. This article is about a specific character in Super Mario 64 and its sequel. Differently named penguins will probably be split anyway because of Minor NPCs policy, but there is also another type of big penguin out there, found in Pushy Penguins minigame for Mario Party Superstars. Jordan from Play Nintendo calls them "big penguins". In addition, Data House calls them regular penguins. Spectrogram (talk) 11:50, April 13, 2023 (EDT)

:As it's stated directly in Mario Party Superstars, the big penguins in that minigame are considered regular penguins. The only other penguins smaller than those in said minigame are babies, which are already treated by the wiki as a conceptually distinct thing. Play Nintendo's video simply uses the "big" epithet to distinguish the parents from the babies, and it's not a better source to use than the game itself at any rate. As it stands, really the only abnormally large penguins in the whole franchise are the Penguin Champion, the Penguin Defender, and the background instance in N64 Sherbet Land; the first has an article of its own, the second is slated to have one going by that red link, and the third is a minor NPC that's already mentioned on the Penguin page. 12:10, April 13, 2023 (EDT)
