:I do wonder about the overall usefulness of this category. For example, Fawful can probably return unscathed if Nintendo really wanted him to come back, because that's exactly what happened before according to the official ''Superstar Saga'' guides since the Player's Guide calls the apparition that Cackletta's final form summons his "ghost" (118) with Prima Games even specifying that "Fawful comes back from the dead" (127). If ''Bowser's Inside Story'' had a parade sequence like ''Super Mario RPG'' and the ''Paper Mario'' series, you can bet he'd have shown up in it. That technicality is why Smithy and his gang aren't in the category, I think. By that token, Antasma probably shouldn't be in the category because Antasma X can be fought afterwards. And then there's Krow, who becomes Kreepy Krow in not one, but two games - if the ''Donkey Konga'' series continued, I wouldn't be too surprised if he made a cameo in the background becoming Kreepy Krow a third time. Deceased characters[edit]

To quote our prompt on Category:Deceased Characters:

"Please note that this does not include characters or bosses that are simply "defeated" and not seen again."

The category is for characters who have died or are implied to be dead before the game. If a character dies during the course of the story, that can just be covered in the main article body, as it doesn't apply to the entirety of the character's role throughout the game. • Um... Dimentio is on this category despite dying during the course of the story. Same with Antasma, Fawful and others.
They... should not be. I'm not sure about Wrinkly Kong, either. Maybe this needs to be discussed further... Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 23:53, July 17, 2020 (EDT)
Wrinkly Kong is actually deceased though. Mario (Gold) costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 00:02, July 18, 2020 (EDT)

That means characters who are ghosts by default, as that's assuming they were "alive" to begin with. In Wrinkly's case, we saw her alive before, and as such "deceased" is valid. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 03:10, July 18, 2020 (EDT)
I do wonder about the overall usefulness of this category. For example, Fawful can probably return unscathed if Nintendo really wanted him to come back, because that's exactly what happened before according to the official Superstar Saga guides since the Player's Guide calls the apparition that Cackletta's final form summons his "ghost" (118) with Prima Games even specifying that "Fawful comes back from the dead" (127). If Bowser's Inside Story had a parade sequence like Super Mario RPG and the Paper Mario series, you can bet he'd have shown up in it. That technicality is why Smithy and his gang aren't in the category, I think. By that token, Antasma probably shouldn't be in the category because Antasma X can be fought afterwards. And then there's Krow, who becomes Kreepy Krow in not one, but two games - if the Donkey Konga series continued, I wouldn't be too surprised if he made a cameo in the background becoming Kreepy Krow a third time.
