Even though our policy is normally to use the latest game artwork, there are times when older artwork is still more suitable, such as if the subject has a certain item or trait unique to that game such as a Koopa Troopa holding a flag or in a style unique to a series such as Super Smash Bros artwork. Additionally, artwork always takes priority over screenshots or game sprites if possible.
