They serve as projectiles shot out of [[Squid Shot]]s, and have a relative species referred to as [[Electrasquid]]s. They can be defeated by any of [[Donkey Kong]] or [[Diddy Kong]]'s attacks and can mainly be defeated by being hit against a wall. They move in a straight line in the direction the Squid Shot is pointing at. One can see a Squidly's eyes peeking out of the Squid Shot just before it is fired. According to its concept artwork, a crab controls the Squid Shot, maybe either [[Snaps]] or [[Pinchly]]. They can be considered the [[Donkey Kong (franchise)|''Donkey Kong'']] equivalent of [[Bullet Bill]]s, because they are shot out of cannons in a straight direction.
