A '''Pointey'''{{refneeded}} is a bamboo-like creature that only appears in ''[[Yoshi's Island DS]]''. They are not really enemies as they cannot harm [[Yoshi (species)|Yoshi]], but more of an obstacle, as they extend from the ground to block Yoshi's way and bounce him away if he touches one. They can be extremely tall or very short, but each one can be popped by a single jump, an [[Yoshi Egg|egg]], or [[Baby Donkey Kong]]'s [[DK Dash Attack]].
