The Nintendo 3DS (temporary title used during development) is an upcoming handheld console that will be the successor to the Nintendo DS series to be released in Japan between April 1, 2010 and March 31, 2011. It will be backwards compatible with DS and DSi games. The console will have a 3D display without the need for glasses. [1]
