Categories

Hello, I urge you to read MarioWiki:Categories before creating categories. Points of note:

  • Non-game-specific categories (categories not tied to a game like "Category:Super Mario Bros. items") need a minimum of five articles, but should preferably have much more than that, so if it's only a handful, it's not worth creating a category for them. (See the "Size and scope" section.)
  • Category pages should also have categories.
  • When adding categories to pages, please make sure to take the "Order on pages" section into account.
  • Words that aren't proper nouns in the category title should not be capitalised.

Please stop creating categories without heeding MarioWiki:Categories on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing.
If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it.

If you're going to add certain categories to articles, either make sure they exist or create them first.   Nightwicked Bowser   13:58, March 25, 2024 (EDT)

Please review my points above. Do not capitalise words in category titles that aren't proper nouns, so it should be "Final boss fight levels" (I'd actually prefer "Final boss levels" as it's cleaner).   Mario JC 09:01, March 26, 2024 (EDT)

Excessive edits

Hello, Giga Cat Mario. When editing, if you'd like to see how your edits affect a page, use the "Show preview" button next to the "Save changes" button. This allows you to check over your edits for any errors and make any additional changes or fixes before you save, which will prevent edits from flooding the page history and recent changes. (If you are on mobile, make sure to check the preview page thoroughly before proceeding to save.) Please try to avoid making excessive, consecutive edits to a single page within a short timespan and instead limit them to as few as possible.

Don't make too many consecutive edits to a page. Scan the page for things to fix first and fix them all in one edit rather than editing one thing at a time. You should also be labelling small edits as "minor" with the "minor edit" checkbox above the "Save changes".   Mario JC 22:01, April 18, 2024 (EDT)
