Gear that has a certain characters design will give the Mii similar stats to the character the gear is based on. Overall, there are a total of 66 golf clubs, 66 golf balls, 25 shirts, 25 pants, 77 clothing combos, 77 visors, 77 gloves, 77 shoes, and 40 costumes in the game, making a total of 530 pieces of gear and clothing for the player's Mii to collect. <span class=explain title="64 golf clubs, 64 golf balls, 24 shirts, 24 pants, 12 combos, 12 visors, 12 gloves, and 12 shoes">224</span> of these are bought in the Castle Club's shop, and <span class=explain title="1 set of golf clubs, 1 golf ball, 48 combos, 48 visors, 48 gloves, and 48 shoes">194</span> of the remaining 306 are unlocked from participating in tournaments (although purchase of most tournament obtained items from the shop is also an option once the major tournament following them has ended), <span class=explain title="all of which are costumes">40</span> are from completing various objectives to obtain costumes, <span class=explain title="16 combos, 16 visors, 16 gloves, and 16 shoes">64</span> are world flag gear received after participating in rounds with players of another region, and the final <span class=explain title="1 set of golf clubs, 1 golf ball, 1 shirt, 1 pair of pants, 1 combo, 1 visor, 1 pair of gloves, and 1 pair of shoes">8</span> are Normal clothing and equipment initially worn by the Mii upon beginning the game.
