:Just an update on this topic. There are several "incarnations" (if you will) of Mario. I've made a list of all the officially separated incarnations. Depending on how all of the sources are connected we may have more, but the following are officially separate. | |||
*Mario of Super Mario Bros. - Often referred to as the "canon" or "real" Mario. Has never been officially separated from ''[[The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!]]'', ''[[Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3]]'', ''[[Super Mario World (TV series)]]'', ''[[Saturday Supercade]]'', ''[[Nintendo Comics System]]'', etc. In other words, anything else I don't mention on this list. There are many occurrences, such as remakes, that decentralize this incarnation of Mario, making his history very sketchy and impossible to determine exactly.
