+Hot air balloons have appeared in a few [[Mario (series)|Mario Games]]. They made their first cameo in [[''Super Mario World'']] in the introduction where [[Mario]], [[Luigi]] and [[Princess Peach]] go to Dinosaur Land for a vacation. The next hot air balloons appear in [[''New Super Mario Bros. Wii'']] where Mario rescues Princess Peach and Luigi. Mario and Peach escape in the balloon, but Luigi is unable to board prior to liftoff. A group of [[Blue Toad]]s and [[Yellow Toad]]s then allow Luigi into their balloon, and they fly away to safety.

Wii]] where Mario rescues Princess Peach and Luigi and Yellow and Blue Toads come down. Luigi then lets Mario and Peach onto the balloon then Luigi tries to get into the balloon but it flies off. The Toads then come down and let Luigi into their baloon then they fly away.
