The layout of the elements shown in these screenshots may adapt to the device's screen size, and I think it's best if the device is mentioned for verifiability and such. {{User:Koopa con Carne/Sig}} 17:53, January 18, 2024 (EST)

Thanks for helping me, however, can I please have my original username WaluigiMan10000 back with my current password? [[User:WarioDude]]
== Navtemplate colors ==
Hi, should the navtemplate for ''Princess Peach: Showtime!'' use the same color scheme as the one for ''Super Princess Peach''? I just ask because it's not yet brought up at [[MarioWiki:Navigation templates]] and it would make the most sense since both are the only games where Peach is treated as the primary protagonist. {{User:Archivist Toadette/sig}} 17:23, February 23, 2024 (EST)
:Yes, sounds good. I've renamed the class from <code>spp</code> to <code>peach</code> to generalize it for more uses. --{{User:Porplemontage/sig}} 17:47, February 23, 2024 (EST)
== Vector 2022 bug ==
Hi. Why does this page look so strange?
: https://www.mariowiki.com/Donut_Block?useskin=vector-2022
It seems that if a page has at least four headings, and one of them has an unclosed italics <code>'<nowiki/>'</code>, such as:
<pre>
==''a==
==b==
==c==
==d==
</pre>
then the following HTML will be output under the Vector 2022 skin:
<syntaxhighlight lang="html">
<i>
    <div class="mw-content-container">...</div>
    <div class="mw-footer-container">...</div>
</i>
</syntaxhighlight>
The effect of the extraneous <code>&lt;i&gt;</code> is to make the whole page italic and extremely narrow. --[[User:Dine2017|Dine2017]] ([[User talk:Dine2017|talk]]) 06:17, March 17, 2024 (EDT)
:It seems fine [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User:Porplemontage&oldid=1214206408&useskin=vector-2022 on Wikipedia], so the fix should eventually make its way downstream to us. In the meantime, those tags should be closed anyway. --{{User:Porplemontage/sig}} 11:27, March 17, 2024 (EDT)
== Fandom interwiki link ==
Can you please change the URL that the <code><nowiki>[[wikia:c:<wiki>]]</nowiki></code> interwiki link generates from <code><nowiki>https://community.fandom.com/wiki/c:<wiki></nowiki></code> to <code><nowiki>https://<wiki>.fandom.com</nowiki></code>? Thanks! {{User:GuntherBB/sig}} 13:45, March 21, 2024 (EDT)
:That is not possible due to how [[Special:Interwiki]] works. Luckily we can use {{tem|fandom}} instead. --{{User:Porplemontage/sig}} 14:06, March 21, 2024 (EDT)
::So are you going to remove the <code><nowiki>[[w:c:<wiki>]]</nowiki></code> interwiki link if the proposal [[Template talk:Fandom#Decide whether to add the language parameter and/or change back to the interwiki link template|here]] gets declined, since Fandom's interwiki link had problems in the past? {{User:GuntherBB/sig}} 12:28, March 22, 2024 (EDT)
:::No, I don't plan on it. While I would encourage articles to use {{tem|fandom}}, the <code>wikia</code> interwiki is a pretty standard one to have and it's fine to have for backwards-compatibility, use in the userspace, etc. --{{User:Porplemontage/sig}} 13:37, March 22, 2024 (EDT)

[[Talk:Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass#Italicize the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass|Per this proposal]], ''[[Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass]]'' is to be italicised in full, but it seems to still not be consistently enforced. Could you run a bot to change the following?
*<code>Booster Course Pass</code> -> <code><nowiki>''Booster Course Pass''</nowiki></code>
*<code><nowiki>''Mario Kart 8 Deluxe'' – Booster Course Pass</nowiki></code> -> <code><nowiki>''Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass''</nowiki></code>

== Ruby template ==
Hi, just letting you know of a [[User talk:Archivist Toadette#The wiki's Ruby template makes the rubies unreadable on Chrome|certain comment]] ([[User talk:Archivist Toadette/Archive 4#The wiki's Ruby template makes the rubies unreadable on Chrome|permalink]]) left on my talk page just now. To summarize, the {{tem|ruby}} template apparently displays text too small for it to be readable on Chrome, and [[User:DandelionSprout|DandelionSprout]] suggested that the text size on the template be changed to 67% of the standard font size. {{User:Archivist Toadette/sig}} 20:05, April 16, 2024 (EDT)
:More specifically, to change it from MediaWiki's ruby standard of "font-size: 50px", to 67%. [[User:DandelionSprout|DandelionSprout]] ([[User talk:DandelionSprout|talk]]) 20:13, April 16, 2024 (EDT)
==Potential mass-conversion of YouTube links from HTTP→HTTPS with bot(s)==
From a sample of a mere 27 games (the ones in [[:Category:Wii U games]]), 21 (± 1) YouTube links in the articles were still written within the articles as http://. If the statistic holds true for the 28,610 pages that are listed on the front page, this would result in Mario Wiki as a whole needing to convert a low-to-medium four-digit amount of links. Manually converting each link on each page would not be realistically possible, unfortunately.
I've built up some RegEx skills over the years, and if PorpleBot uses the syntax I've seen used for wiki bots, i.e. "$1" instead of "\1", I propose adding <code><nowiki>([\=]|//|\s{1,})http://(www\.|m\.)?youtube\.com/</nowiki></code> → <code><nowiki>$1https://www.youtube.com/</nowiki></code> to the bot.
Starting with YouTube links would in theory an easy starting point, as its video IDs have remained unchanged for each video for almost two decades, whereas sites like IGN and Gamespot are much more prone to having old links to them end up on 404 pages. YouTube also has full 100.0% support for HTTPS on all of its pages, while many gaming sites and Nintendo official sites have it depend on their sites' sections. :I did something which will automatically update the YouTube links, and many more, to HTTPS without needing to edit anything. --{{User:Porplemontage/sig}} 10:23, April 26, 2024 (EDT)
