::::Actually, that's pretty much what they mean: keys are female, computers are male, and so on and so forth all due to the whims of gender pronouns. Also, gender pronouns still abide by a person's gender (or an animal's gender or an alien's gender and so on), regardless of the rules for objects' genders. If we're talking about Jack, it's always going to be "un" (male "a"/"one"), "il" ("he"), etc. and Jill would always be "une" (female "a"/"one"), "elle" ("she"), etc. unless one of them decides to swap genders at any point in their life.
