For instance, those warnings at the ends of first-party Nintendo game manuals of the time (labeled "CAUTION" first, then later "IMPORTANT") served to tell players that piracy of Nintendo's games was a crime and prohibited by copyright law, and not to use unlicensed alteration or copier devices with the SNES (and later on, the N64 and GameCube as well). So in effect, they would be termed "anti-piracy warnings" instead.) |
