Photographs are stamp-like items that are exclusive to the Game Boy Advance remakes of Donkey Kong Country and Donkey Kong Country 2. In both games, they can be collected by the Kongs and stored in the Scrapbook. They appear only in the main modes and are represented by small blue camera (also named hidden camera<ref>Folsom, Jessica, and Steve Thomason (2003). Photographs are pictures that can be collected by Donkey, Diddy and Dixie Kong in the Game Boy Advance remakes of Donkey Kong Country and Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest.
In Donkey Kong Country, there are 52 photographs to collect, which can be done by defeating certain enemy species with a Hand Slap, finding them in hidden locations throughout the levels, as well as by completing challenges at Funky's Fishing and Candy's Dance Studio. Once collected, a photograph appears somewhere in the Scrapbook and cannot be collected again.

Photographs are represented by camera icons. In Donkey Kong Country, they can be acquired by defeating particular enemies in certain ways, or finding them throughout the levels. Once collected, a Photograph will appear somewhere in the scrapbook. Each Photograph can only be collected once, and the player must search every nook and cranny of each level to find them all. Additionally, some Photographs must be earned as rewards for completing certain tasks.
In Donkey Kong Country 2, most photographs do not appear until Diddy Kong and Dixie Kong talk to Wrinkly Kong at Kong Kollege. Once they do so, particular enemies in the game display a camera icon floating above them, and defeating that particular enemy earns them a photograph of that enemy's species. Likewise, Wrinkly offers tips on how to find these photographs, which can be bought from her with Banana Coins and viewed in the Wrinkly's Help section on the menu. Other photographs are given by Funky Kong as reward for completing his challenges at Funky's Flights II. For each page completely filled with photographs, Diddy and Dixie are awarded a Hero Coin by Wrinkly Kong. When 39 photographs are covered in the Scrapbook, Wrinkly rewards the 40th and final photograph.

In Donkey Kong Country 2, Photographs won't appear until the Kongs talk to Wrinkly Kong at Kong Kollege. Once they do so, various enemies in the game will have a camera icon floating above them. If the Kongs manage to collect all forty Photographs in the game, and fill up Wrinkly's Scrapbook, she will reward the Kongs with a Hero Coin, which is undoubtedly the toughest Hero Coin to acquire in the entire game.
