Wii|Wii version]] and the [[New Super Mario Bros. 2|3DS game]]. At first glance, Dash Coins appear to be an outline of a [[Coin]]. In this state, they cannot be collected. However, if [[Mario]] or another character are to make contact with the coin in any way, it will turn into a regular coin. Dash Coins are somewhat rare and only appear in a few levels, yet they still are worth the same as regular Coins.
