Snowflake Mountain is the second world of Diddy Kong Racing and its Nintendo DS remake, Diddy Kong Racing DS.

As its name suggests, Snowflake Mountain is entirely snow-themed. Its courses frozen ponds, giant snowballs, and a single village in one racetrack. The player can enter the world by flying a plane over a cliff in the snowy region of Timber's Island hub. The player's racer must have at least two Golden Balloons to enter Snowflake Mountain. The world's boss is Bluey the Walrus.
Snowflake Mountain is an area found on Timber Island in the game Diddy Kong Racing and its remake, Diddy Kong Racing DS. Snowflake Mountain includes Everfrost Peak, Walrus Cove, Snowball Valley, Frosty Village, and Icicle Pyramid. It can be accessed by piloting a plane over a cliff. If the player has collected two or more Golden Balloons, the door to the Snowflake Mountain is unlocked. The zone resembles a freezing mountain with a small village at the base. Bluey the Walrus is the boss of Snowflake Mountain.

Race Tracks
Snowflake Mountain's lobby consists of the course doors mounted on the mountain cliffs with the Trophy Race located in a cavern next to the igloo, which houses Bluey's Course. The challenge level is located off to the right of the entrance.
Everfrost Peak
The Everfrost Peak track is set in a a carved snow canyon with two Zippers. All three vehicles can be used in the original NG4 game but the car cannot be used in the DS version. This is the first snow track in this game.

Walrus Cove is a race track also set in an icy area. Some walruses can be seen, and there is an ice slide with a loop in it. There is water near the end of the track.

Courses
For courses where two or all three vehicles can be used, vehicles listed in bold print are the mandated vehicle during Adventure Mode and the Trophy Race, and other vehicles can only be used in a Time Trial or after the course is completed.

|Like the rest of Snowflake Mountain, Walrus Cove also takes place in an icy region. Despite its name, few walruses can be seen. The level mainly features a looping ice slide.

|Snowball Valley features large snowballs that can crush racers, and they even become larger from rolling downhill. Its road is slippery and icy. The racers also enter an igloo shortly before the finish line. The player can also find the second Wish Key in an alcove, located at the end of a trail located directly left of the finish line.

|Frosty Village begins with a huge downward slope that can be skipped with a Zipper and balloon. After the first cave, the player can turn right for a shortcut. After the second cave, there is water. All three vehicles can be used. It takes place around a village, giving it its name. In the remake, it is easier to take the shortcut.

|The player races against the world boss, Bluey the Walrus. The track is snowy and is a downhill slide. Like Tricky, it only has one lap. There is a tunnel in one segment, and giant snowballs just outside the tunnel. When the player rematches Bluey, he races faster.

|Icicle Pyramid is set in a three-story ice pyramid. Gameplay-wise, it is very similar to the Battle Courses of the Mario Kart series. A racer's goal is to simply attack the other racers with from red and green Weapon Balloons placed over the stage. A racer loses if hit by an item four times.

Snowball Valley
In the DS remake, Icicle Pyramid, as well as the other Challenge Levels, was replaced with a Wish Race against T.T. in the Adventure Mode, being playable only in multiplayer.

The boss of Snowflake Mountain, Bluey the Walrus, is fought twice in the game. The vehicle used is the hovercraft. The track is snowy and mostly downhill, with tunnels and giant candy canes. Again, there are giant snowballs.  However, in the DS remake they are gone and the race is more difficult. The second time Bluey is fought, he is twice as fast.

Icicle Pyramid
Icicle Pyramid is a battle stage that is unlockable in NG4 but is only available in multiplayer on the DS. It is set in a three-story ice pyramid. If a player gets hit with an item four times, they are out. A tunnel allows the player to get items.
