Unlike most ghosts, Waiters cannot damage [[Luigi]], and they have only 10 HP, like [[Gold Ghost]]s. Waiters are unaffected by [[Elemental Ghost|elemental]] attacks despite their heart having neither fire, water, nor ice protection. Luigi can battle Mr. Luggs by making him run out of food, something that is usually done by vacuuming the Waiters into his [[Poltergust 3000]], but Luigi can alternatively stun the Waiters with his [[flashlight]], causing them to dissipate and reset and giving Luigi a brief opportunity to vacuum up Mr. Luggs's food.
