In Super Smash Bros., Hyrule Castle appears as a lengthy stage based off of its appearance in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. In single-player mode, Hyrule Castle is the first stage the player battles on. During gameplay, a whirlwind appears about every 30 seconds; any character caught in it is blown upwards, and sometimes out of the stage if sufficiently damaged. In a Nintendo Direct that premiered on June 14, 2015, Masahiro Sakurai revealed that developers have been working on porting Hyrule Castle (along with Peach's Castle) into Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U as downloadable content. It was later released on July 31, 2015, under the name Hyrule Castle (64).

This level serves as Link's home stage in the game. In Super Smash Bros. Melee, a similar but much larger stage called Temple takes its place.
Hyrule Castle also reappears in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Hyrule Castle appears as part of the downloadable course Hyrule Circuit. As the castle is surrounded by Zora's River, racers will access it by using a Glider Pad in Hyrule Field to fly to the roof. When the racer enters the castle, they will drive on a small staircase to a large chamber that houses several Rupees and the Master Sword resting on the Pedestal of Time, surrounded by several glass monuments; a small glider pad will occassionally appear in front of the Pedestal of Time, providing a significant speedboost if the Master Sword is touched. The racer will then drive out of the castle through a bridge leading into Hyrule Castle Town.
In Mario Kart 8, Hyrule Castle appears as part of the Hyrule Circuit course in the The Legend of Zelda × Mario Kart 8 downloadable content pack, which returns in the base game of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. As the castle is surrounded by Zora's River, racers access it by gliding from Hyrule Field to the castle's roof. When racers enter the castle, they use anti-gravity to drive down a curved staircase, ending up in a large chamber that houses the Master Sword resting on the Pedestal of Time, surrounded by several stained glass windows. The room contains two paths that can be taken around the pedestal, but if all three Spin Boost Pillars on the way down the staircase were hit, a small Dash Panel ramp appears in front of the pedestal; using this ramp allows racers to pass over the pedestal and use the Master Sword as an additional Spin Boost Pillar. When exiting the castle, racers drive over a bridge and onto a path leading into Hyrule Castle Town.
