After spotting the other Darkmess Tentacle at the [[Winter Palace]], the heroes journey there and rescue a frozen [[Captain Orion]] at the entrance. He tasks the heroes to enter the Palace help him save "the girl", who is revealed to be [[Rabbid Rosalina]]. At the top floor, the heroes prepare for a fight against one of Cursa's Spark Hunters, [[Midnite]]. She becomes happy upon seeing Edge, but quickly shows disapproval upon learning that she has sided with the heroes. Midnite then tells them all that she and Edge used to be friends, surprising them.
