So I came on Super Mario Wiki today and I look in the "Did You Know" section like always, and Super Mario 3D World was featured. Apparently, this game has a whopping 17 power-ups, and it also says, "compared to Super Mario Bros. 3's 9 Power Ups". But it also is counting the power ups that aren't really power-ups, like the Coin Box and the Piranha Plant. HOWEVER, even if you don't count these, it still beats Mario 3's 9 Power-ups. But is there a game that beat Mario 3 besides this one? If not, I'd like to add this to the trivia. :Coin Box and Piranha Plant aren't really powerups traditionally, but I think they're similar to, say, Kuribo's Shoe. Or those items from Kirby's Return to Dream Land that are usable cannons and protective instrument-things. The Coin Box functions similarly to the Propeller Box, but it's more of an award than something you need to get to places.
