 Although in the original Donkey Kong Country games made by Rare it was implied that Cranky was the original DK, now Nintendo, Paon, and any other company that makes Donkey Kong games presently, have never stated wether or not this is true. It may have just been intentionally forgotten, sort of like how Tiny Kong was originally Dixie Kong's 'little sister'. {{User:Lanky kong/sig}}

-It would make very little sense for DK to be [[Cranky Kong]] in Donkey Kong. The reason why? Because if in Donkey Kong Cranky was as old as DK is at the moment. It wouldn't make sense unless that was Mario's father or Mario is to old to go on the adventures that he does. I think they only said that because they either wanted to turn DK into a hero or they wanted to turn that into something of the past. If that is really it then maybe Cranky is more capable of doing things than he looks. And also if in [[Baby Donkey Kong]] It is DK's father(considering it calls CK DK's grandpa)then that would make Mario at least 80 years old. And it couldn't be DK because in [[Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island]]and [[Yoshi's Island DS]]Mario and DK were the same age (look up [[Baby Donkey Kong]]).
