Due to a programming oversight, the ''Super Mario All-Stars'' version has a small chance of activating the debug mode from the original NES release. This is due to the fact that the mode is triggered when the game detects a value of 80 in the RAM address 7E0160; while the NES version initializes the value to 00 on startup, the SNES version does not, resulting in the game using whichever value is randomly generated by the SNES console itself.
