Miyamoto [http://ca.ign.com/articles/2006/08/21/miyamoto-opens-the-vault directly mentioned Marionette in an interview with Nintendo Dream], so I don't have any doubt about its existence. :Oh, thanks for that. I don't know, the only bearing connection I can see with Mario with the game's title, and I'd think it's a clever play on Mario if it's really Mario-related, since we have word plays on the puppet, Mario, and the net, according to the magazine. That's as much proof as we're going to get from what I can gather here. {{User:Mario/sig}} 21:54, 19 December 2014 (EST)

:::All this rumour about it being a Mario game seems to be sourced from some silly journalist saying that the Japanese name for Marionette looks like "Mario" and "Net" (*insert facepalm smiley here*). I agree with glowsquid, this doesn't seem to be a Mario game at all, but it definitely existed, unless the interviews with Miyamoto were faked (which is rather unlikely). There is just no reliable source (only "rumours" aka people wanting it to be a Mario game too much) that say it is a Mario game. --[[User:Hiccup|Hiccup]] ([[User talk:Hiccup|talk]]) 16:09, 11 March 2015 (EDT)

What states the project actually involved Mario? The description doesn't say anything and while IGN's "The History of Mario Bros" article is linked in the sidebar, the article proper doesn't mention Marionette anywhere, --Glowsquid (talk) 21:42, 19 December 2014 (EST)

I've messaged Francofantino (talk), who created this page, for more details. The only source doesn't provide much information, and I don't even know if this vaporware even exists. Icon showing how many lives Mario has left. From Super Mario 64 DS. It's me, Mario! (Talk / Stalk) 21:47, 19 December 2014 (EST)

Miyamoto directly mentioned Marionette in an interview with Nintendo Dream, so I don't have any doubt about its existence. Note the linked article only describe it as " a mysterious title which promised to let players manipulate a marionette character.". --Glowsquid (talk) 21:50, 19 December 2014 (EST)

All this rumour about it being a Mario game seems to be sourced from some silly journalist saying that the Japanese name for Marionette looks like "Mario" and "Net" (*insert facepalm smiley here*). --Hiccup (talk) 16:09, 11 March 2015 (EDT)
